Perfect Enough . . . Mailler Phong
Mailler Phong is the pied piper for Western style fusion of decorative rope art. He specializes in rigging and photographing ties that highlight the curves of the body as well as the confidence and poise of the model.
Mailler just published his first book, Interwoven Images Vol. I. The book has 70 never-before-published photos of women in elegant bondage and can be purchased on Blurb.com.

Nikita engages her friend, David Masterson, aka/ Okienawa, in spirited banter. He’s been a presenter for over 10 years and is a multifaceted person who has held many posts in the BDSM and leather lifestyle. During his tenure, the most notable accomplishments are community service, his many published articles for the leather lifestyle, and an educator for his skills as a rigger and Kinbaku bondage artist. About ten years ago, when Lew Rubens discovered the internet, he found others out there who had similar interests. He said it has been an amazing and inspiring journey.
He discovered the local Seattle scene in the spring of 2001. Since then, he has been a very visible and respected member of that community. Soon he began attending events, teaching classes, and performing in shows and bondage demonstrations. He became one of the leading rigging experts who draw from Fetish Fine Art, Western Bondage, Damsel in Distress, and so on.
In 2006, Lew joined Kink.com, running WaterBondage for them. After two years, he became the “bondage consultant” for Kink.com.
Lew Rubens doesn’t let grass grow under his feet. He has boundless energy to spread the passion for bondage hosting Lewbari Weekends. He has made many friends from coast to coast who welcome him whenever he travels their way.
He is bringing Lewbari-con to Spain in November 2010 and a kinky cruise in April as well as many stops in between. Be sure to catch him. He is an amazing instructor and performer.

Rock and Rope with Zamil
My podcasts all have a mission and that is offering a glimpse into people involved in an alternative lifestyle. We all have something to learn from each other and at the end of the day, we are not so different from mainstream people after all.
Today, the topic is Japanese rope bondage with European rope star, Zamil, who studied Shibari in Japan with Osada Steve.
Zamil was a popular presenter at Shibaricon, one of the biggest international conventions in the world devoted to lovers of the beautiful style of Japanese rope bondage, Shibari.
Lucky me, I managed to attend all of his classes. As an instructor, he was exacting, precise, and very patient. I think Zamil really loves Shibari. It’s a sensuous and erotic foreplay using rope as the conduit. As for his style, I’d say speed, fluidity, and ‘connection’ are three words that come to mind. Why speed and what is ‘connection?’ He’ll say so in the interview.
I asked Zamil if a book was written about him, what would the title be? After a few moments of thought, he said, “The title would be my life’s vision: Balance, Freedom, and Ecstasy, surrounded by a circle to indicate that all three need to come together and unify. This is what I find in rope.”
